Why Eat Pastured Pork

  • Ethically Raised
  • Lower Environmental Impact
  • Higher Quality Meat

Pastured pork comes from animals that have been raised in open pastures, allowing them to exhibit their natural behaviors. They have ample space to roam, root, and forage, resulting in happier and healthier pigs compared to those raised in confined factory farming systems. Hoop Snake farm utilizes regenerative practices that prioritize environmental sustainability. We focus on soil health, biodiversity, and minimizing the use of synthetic chemicals, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient agricultural system. The pigs’ grazing and foraging behaviors help to improve soil health, promote carbon sequestration, and minimize pollution associated with concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs). Many people appreciate the distinct flavor and superior quality of pastured pork. The pigs’ varied diet, outdoor exercise, and natural living conditions can contribute to the development of more flavorful and tender meat.
